london beginnings

24 Aug

so i made it!

after sleeping for 20 hours straight (a personal record), i’m all settled in.

some pictures from my first day in london:

the london office building. very mad men.

my room at the Hoxton Hotel. i LOVE the pillows.

stepping out for lunch–sunshine & blue skies!

evening trip to oxford circus. insane shopping.

oh hai old time-y apply store.

fancy pants new Tube situation happening all across London (prep for 2012 olympics)

i was less than prepared for the UK adapter situation…

today was actually a really long work day, which is fairly indicative of what the next 17 days here will be like. i’m looking forward to hunkering down during the week, exploring and little bit at night, and taking the weekend to relax and really learn the city.

goodnight, london.
